Who Are Harford County Democrats?
We believe in an America that treats ALL of
its citizens fairly, providing everyone with
the opportunity and support to achieve their
hopes and dreams. We believe in the principles
of The Constitution that call for justice,
insurance of our domestic tranquility,
provision of our common defense, promotion of
our general welfare and the security of the
blessings of our liberty. This is the America
we believe in. The America that the Democratic
Party has fought to achieve over the past 70
years. The America that gives hope to millions
of people throughout the world. The America
that continues to set the standard for
Democracy.
Harford County Democrats
believe:
- Every child should receive a quality education.
- Affordable medical care must be available to all our citizens.
- Our natural resources and environment must be protected.
- Our government must maintain a strong military, while providing more resources to securing our citizens protection from terrorism.
- Our tax code should be progressive; tax cuts for the wealthy shouldn't come as a cost to the other 95% of our citizens.
- Our government must be fiscally responsible; record deficits undermine our ability to support those ideals embodied in our constitution.
- Stopping residential construction in growth impacted areas until a real land management plan is put into effect.
- Requiring developers and builders to provide the needed funds to build new schools and renovate older facilities.
- Revising the Adequate Public Facilities laws to make them work to the advantage of the citizens, not just the developers.
