Moore will become Maryland’s first Black governor in the state’s 246-year history, and is just the third African American elected Governor in the history of the United States.

Aruna Miller is the lieutenant governor-elect of the state of Maryland. She will be sworn into office on Jan. 18, 2023 as Maryland’s 10th lieutenant governor, the second woman to serve in that role, and the first woman of color and immigrant elected to statewide office in Maryland.

Anthony Brown, Attorney General-Elect of Maryland

Anthony Brown was elected to be the 47th Attorney General of the State of Maryland on November 8, 2022. He formerly represented Maryland’s 4th Congressional District in the House of Representatives. Brown served as Lieutenant Governor from 2007-2015, and in the General Assembly as Vice Chairman of the Judiciary Committee and Majority Whip of the House of Delegates from 1999-2007. He served on the Ethics Committees, both while a member of the House of Delegates and in the House of Representatives.

Brooke Lierman, Comptroller-Elect of Maryland

Brooke Lierman is a civil rights attorney, mother of two children, a two-term State Delegate, and the Comptroller-Elect of the State of Maryland. After running a strong, policy-focused and grassroots-led two-year campaign, she was elected with over 58% of the vote in November 2022. She will be Maryland’s first female Comptroller and is the first woman independently-elected to statewide state office.

Mary-Dulany James previously served as a Maryland Delegate representing Harford county. She  grew up on her family farm in Havre De Grace, where she and her husband, Brian, live and work today. James attended Havre de Grace High School, the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland School of Law. After working for several law firms in Baltimore, she established her own law practice in Harford County to serve the community. James is also active in her community, serving as a board member and treasurer of the Community Foundation of Harford county.

Dion Guthrie, Harford County Councilmember – District A

Dion Guthrie has been a resident of Harford County in the Joppatowne area for more than fifty years. He and his wife, Diana, have six children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Guthrie was initially elected in 2002, re-elected in 2006 and again in 2010. He was also elected as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 2008, 2012 and 2020.

Jacob Bennett is an Eagle Scout from Troop 777, graduate of Harford County Public Schools, grandson of a dairy farmer and now a kindergarten teacher in Harford. He spent six summers working at Harford’s Broadcreek Memorial Scout Reservation. Jacob graduated from Salisbury University in three years with a degree in elementary education. During his time at Salisbury, he founded and operated a mentoring program for children in the local community. The mentoring program had weekly homework help, monthly outings into the community and a yearly overnight trip where they would volunteer in other communities. After graduating, Jacob came back to Harford where he is now in his sixth year of teaching kindergarten. He will be a fighter and an advocate for your children, and all the other residents in District F, because at the end of the day we all share the community.
